UnitedHealthcare Charter: Bringing quality, cost-effective health care to the Chicago area

UnitedHealthcare Charter® Insurance and HMO plans are designed to streamline the health care experience for employees and reduce costs for employers. Care is coordinated by primary care physicians (PCP) inspired to deliver quality patient-centered care. They guide employees to use health care more efficiently and improve health outcomes helping to lower the total cost of care.

Achieving healthier together.

In collaboration with Advocate Health Care in the Greater Chicago Area, UnitedHealthcare Charter® makes it easier for employees to find PCPs that help them manage their health care needs in an uncomplicated manner. Together we can keep employees healthier by having them choose a PCP who will encourage them to seek preventive care, treat chronic conditions and develop personalized plans.

A Charter plan that includes PCP selection and specialist referrals may deliver an estimated annual savings of up to 25%.*

Adding value to your care.

Advocate Healthcare is one of the area’s largest health care providers, offering a network of physicians and services throughout the greater Chicago area. A focused network may help to deliver lower administrative costs, and employers are able to balance cost savings with flexible plan designs, offering coverage to their employees that supports efficient use of services with the goal of positive health outcomes.

It also encourages cost sharing with co-pays and annual deductibles. Employees will enjoy lower out of pocket costs with $20 - $40 copay for PCP visits, and $0 copay for Virtual Visits. Network preventive care is fully covered.
